Yorkshire Cup Rules
  1. Registration cards MUST be present at all matches. For non-YVA Premier teams a list of players for the competition must be sent to me (Doug Lawson) BEFORE the first match and the list must then be present at every Cup match thereafter.
  2. It is expected that players will play for the league  team with which they are registered. Once a player has played a match for that team, they are then “cup tied” and are therefore ineligible to play for another team in this competition even if they have transferred to another league team during the season.
  3. To be eligible to play in any final a player MUST have played at least once in the competition prior to that final.
  4. If a team defaults any of their pool matches they are eliminated from the competition and will not progress to the semi finals stage of the competition.
  5. No team shall have a “bye” to any of the finals on finals day. If a semi final place should be left vacant for any reason, then the losing semi finalists from the other half of the draw will have a second chance to make it to the final. If this does not resolve the matter, then I shall decide and my decision is binding.
  6. If you have a problem with any of these rules, contact me for advice before competing in any match. Special dispensation may be given in exceptional circumstances before any match but certainly not after.
  7. Fixtures – the “week commencing” is a guide to aid the arrangement of fixtures. BUT, all fixtures must be completed with all score sheets to me by 17th February 2013 and league tables for each of the pools will then be produced. Fixtures may even be played in October, November or December if the 2 teams involved agree.
  8. Fixtures – the first named team is the home team but this too is negotiable.
  9. Pool A (Men’s Comp only) has a place for an extra team. This place may still be filled if we can find a willing team. If no additional team comes forward then please play out your fixtures – all 3 teams in Pool A will progress to a semi final in one of the competitions and are therefore guaranteed 3 matches in the competition. The Ladies competition has no spare places and the draw is now closed.
  10. In all other circumstances Yorkshire Premier League Rules apply.
