To: Volleyball Clubs, Players, Coaches and Referees

Can you help to shape the development of volleyball in Yorkshire?

Yorkshire Volleyball Association and Volleyball England are working together to produce a new Development Plan for volleyball in the region. It is important that players, coaches, referees and all those involved in our sport are involved in deciding how volleyball should develop. (Fill in this short Online Survey.)

You are invited to a workshop event on Saturday 11 June 2011 from 11.00 – 15.30 at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheaf Street, Sheffield, S1 2BP (For Sat Nav use S1 1AA). Lunch will be provided. Those who attend the meeting will also receive a complimentary ticket to GB Men v Slovenia match, taking place at Ponds Forge after our meeting.

Confirm your attendance by replying by email to Mike Turner, Yorkshire Volleyball Chairman.

The event will:

·       Help people understand the national plan for Volleyball, what has happened since it was launched and act as the starting point for a regional plan

·       Seek the views of people in the region regarding how they think the sport can be developed, what needs to be improved, what the challenges are, etc.

·       Provide information on how the Volleyball England professional staff can assist you and identify other partners that may be able to provide support.

The agenda below gives more detail on the purpose of the event and the programme for the day.

Online Survey  - To assist in gathering your thoughts and opinions. Whether or not you are attending on Saturday 11 June, please complete this short, anonymous survey: <https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3L8DNBZ>

We want to make sure that the Regional Plan for Volleyball is realistic, short, achievable and takes into account the views and capacity of the volunteers. Come along and have your say!

If you have any questions with regards to the workshop or the survey, if you would you like to raise any particular questions to be addressed or discussed, please contact Mike Turner at: mandmturner@gmail.com or Stuart Johnson at: s.johnson@volleyballengland.org
