Regional Assistant Coaches And Team Managers Required

As part of Volleyball England's Regional Talent Development Program (RTDP), Yorkshire Volleyball has four youth squads that train together on a monthly basis, culminating with the Inter Regional Championships in May each year.

Yorkshire Volleyball are working at enhancing the RTDP to provide the best possible opportunities in coach education and development. We would like the most talented coaches in the region to be involved in the program.

Regional Squad Staff

Assistant Coaches
Assistant Coaches will work together with the squad's Head Coach at the monthly training sessions and at the Inter Regional Championships. We would particularly like to hear from coaches that are interested in developing their coaching skills on a long term basis through working closely with the Head Coaches and by attending Volleyball England coaching courses. Assistant Coaches should hold a Volleyball England Level 1/UKCC Level 1 or be willing to obtain it shortly.

Team Managers
Team Managers will work with both the squad's Head Coach and the Youth Development Officer to keep the squad organised. This will involve communicating with players, ensuring that players have completed the correct paperwork, etc. These roles are highly essential to ensure that the training sessions run as smoothly as possible and so the coaches can concentrate on actually coaching the players, rather than chasing paperwork!

These positions provide a fantastic opportunity to work with our region's young and talented athletes.

If you are interested in getting involved please contact Ed Humphries at youth@yorkshirevolleyball.org stating which position you would be interested in and whether you have a preference to working with either the girls or boys squads.

Please note that in line with Volleyball England and Yorkshire Volleyball guidelines, all personnel will be required to obtain a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check (free of charge through Volleyball England).
